Well, I'm back in America. It wasn't the plan, but I'll write about that more in the next blog. When has life ever followed a plan, anyway? And to be honest, I'm not even that upset about it. After a year in Edinburgh, the California sunshine is much appreciated, as is the chance to take a break from paying rent for a few months.
When it comes to solo travel, destination makes a big difference. I hate to admit it. I like to believe that with the right attitude, anything can be an adventure. But as a solo traveler, destination is important. Some places just aren't safe for a solo female traveler, and some places honestly just aren't that interesting when traveling alone. That's why, in my preparation of all the travel I hope to do when I return to America, I've put together a list of the top five U.S. cities for solo travelers.
